Once the hunting grounds of the legendary Zulu chief Shaka, the park is famous for its conservation efforts in saving the white rhino from extinction and the stunning views of the initial foothills of the coastal escarpment. You can expect to see plenty of white rhinos, and elephant sightings are quite common. The park is also home to lions, cheetahs, black rhinos, leopards, wild dogs, a large population of giraffes, and much more.

Birdwatchers may spot lesser jacanas, lappet-faced vultures, bateleur eagles, white-headed vultures, and Southern banded snake eagles, among others. The safari includes breakfast, refreshments, blankets, and gate fees.

Experience the miracle of the Leatherback Turtle (weighing up to 900kg) as well as the Loggerhead Turtle reproduction. Step into the world of these amazing and ancient reptiles as they dodge sharks off-shore and humans, crabs, badgers and jackals on-shore to return to and hatch from these ancient nesting grounds. This tour is tide dependent – departure times vary according to tides. You will also experience a night drive to see nocturnal animals on the way to your turtle experience.
